Information for Members
For your comfort, safety and consideration to other members:
- Please bring a towel and water bottle to each class.
- Appropriate footwear must be worn and age restrictions apply to some classes.
- Please inform the instructor of any injuries/health problems prior to class starting.
- For your safety, we do not recommend for you join a class once the warm-up has started.
- Please also let the instructor know if you need to leave the class early.
Class description
Ab Blast - An intense 30-minute workout focusing on your core. Enjoy a variety of exercises and challenges that will develop all areas of your abdominals and help strengthen your lower back.
Body Attack - Is a spots inspired Les mills cardio workout that is focused on building strength and stamina. It combines athletic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises.
BodyPump - The ultimate barbell workout with all the benefits of weight training using adjustable weights in a friendly environment and set to great music. All welcome!
Boxing - A boxing style workout combining impact and cardio training. Have fun learning new skills and improve coordination.
Circuit - \'Circuit\' is a combination of high intensity aerobics and resistance training. Designed to be easy to follow whilst constantly evolving, you can expect to improve cardiovascular fitness, tone and burn unwanted FAT!
Heart Class - A unique class which focuses on safe and effective transition exercises, for those who have been involved in cardiac rehabilitation at either a medical practice or hospital. Medical clearance is required from your GP before you can participate.
Pilates - A class that teaches a unique method of body control and conditioning, focusing on alignment and positioning while encouraging the deeper trunk muscles to strengthen.
PrYme Active - A class aimed at maintaining heart and lung health. Enjoy a cardiovascular based workout specifically designed for mature adults.
PrYme Life - A mixture of movements geared towards building balance and coordination. Enjoy a variety of classes from a relaxing stretch through to dance and walking groups. Meet and have fun with other prYme participants.
PrYme Strength - A resistance workout designed to assist with muscle and joint strengthening. Improve strength, stability and balance to ensure enhanced everyday living!
Spin - A non-impact indoor cycle class that is as much about inspiration as it is perspiration. Sessions cater for all levels of experience and fitness. An excellent fat burning class where you control the intensity. No coordination required.
Teen Gym - Utilising full extent of gym equipment, trainers provide an introduction to the gym specifically tailored for teenagers.
W.O.W - YMCA’s Workout of the Week is a workout inspired by our trainers, which will be presented each week, and taught as a class each Wednesday. Express class to workout the whole body in 30 minutes with minimal equipment!
Weekend Warrior - Group outdoor workout with a Personal Trainer. Meet at the Y or phone us early (for location) to participate in a fun and functional training session, guaranteed to break up your usual gym routine!
Yoga - A sequence of postures designed to increase concentration, endurance, strength and flexibility. There is an emphasis on alignment, extension and muscle activation. Upon completion of the class, you will be relaxed, leaving you completely revitalised.
Yoga (Hatha) - Overcome daily stress and increase wellbeing by working with posture (asana), breathing (pranayama) and relaxation (yoga nidra).
Zumba - Calorie burning, body energising and awe inspiring movement! Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a session like no other, no matter the fitness level. There are no wrong moves in Zumba!
