Deep Aqua and Aqua classes are held in the Main 50m Pool, Shallow Aqua classes are held in the Leisure Pool, while Hydro Aqua classes are held in the Hydro Pool. All aqua classes are 45 minutes in duration.

Information for Members

For your comfort, safety and consideration to other members:

  • Please bring a towel and water bottle to each class.
  • Appropriate footwear must be worn and age restrictions apply to some classes.
  • Please inform the instructor of any injuries/health problems prior to class starting.
  • For your safety, we do not recommend for you join a class once the warm-up has started.
  • Please also let the instructor know if you need to leave the class early.

Class description

Abs 'n' Core - An intense 30-minute workout focusing on your core. Enjoy a variety of exercises and challenges that will develop all areas of your abdominals and help strengthen your back.

Aqua - Provides a unique workout due to the buoyancy effect of the water, eliminating much of the impact and gravitational stresses. This aspect makes aqua ideal for injury rehabilitation as well as fitness, strength and endurance training.

Aqua (Deep) - Prepare to be challenged with fun and impact free exercises designed to improve balance, agility, posture, flexibility and core strength. This class uses water resistance combined with a cardiovascular component for toning and fitness levels.

BodyPump - The ultimate barbell workout with all the benefits of weight training using adjustable weights in a friendly environment and set to great music. All welcome!

Boxing - A boxing style workout combining impact and cardio training. Have fun learning new skills and improve coordination.

Core Conditioning - Take part in a circuit based class involving functional movement, sports specific training that improves conditioning. This class helps with conditioning muscle groups utilised in everyday movements as well incorporating major muscles to help burn kilojou

Gym Spin - Enjoy a spin on the gym floor bikes, for a fun calorie packed 45 minute workout. Our instructors will give you an interval and strength laden class building your cardio fitness.

Hydro Aqua - A gentle exercise class suited towards the older adult. Classes are performed in the Hydrotherapy Pool, maintaining a warm water temperature all year round. All abilities are welcome.

Pilates - A class that teaches a unique method of body control and conditioning, focusing on alignment and positioning while encouraging the deeper trunk muscles to strengthen.

PrYme Active - A class aimed at maintaining heart and lung health. Enjoy a cardiovascular based workout specifically designed for mature adults.

PrYme Aqua - No complicated movements – just good music and fun! Incorporating both resistance and low-impact cardiovascular exercises with the use of light dumbbells, noodles and other equipment. Designed to improve coordination, flexibility, balance and posture.

PrYme Strength - A resistance workout designed to assist with muscle and joint strengthening. Improve strength, stability and balance to ensure enhanced everyday living!

Pram Camp - An exercise program incorporating prams and strollers into the program where parents/carers have a great total body workout with their baby by their side. All stroller aged children (4 months-4 years) are welcome.

Shallow Aqua - A shallow water program which uses the water as a resistance to increase cardiovascular fitness as well as muscular strength and endurance. Shallow aqua utilises the deep end of our Leisure Pool, to allow all abilities to participate.

Spin - A non-impact indoor cycle class that is as much about inspiration as it is perspiration. Sessions cater for all levels of experience and fitness. An excellent fat burning class where you control the intensity. No coordination required.

Stretch - Floor based class with emphasis on stretches to increase and maximise joint and muscular flexibility.

SwimFit - A fitness program encompassing both land and pool elements with a focus on improving swimming fitness and ability. Starting with a stretch and strength program, followed by a comprehensive swimming session.

TRX - A 30- 45 minute express class using the TRX suspension training system. Perform dynamic, core engaging movements as you enjoy this functional workout.

Yoga - A sequence of postures designed to increase concentration, endurance, strength and flexibility. There is an emphasis on alignment, extension and muscle activation. Upon completion of the class, you will be relaxed, leaving you completely revitalised.

Zumba Gold (50+) - A workout which takes the Zumba formula, but modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their fitness journey. Zumba Gold is a dance-fitness class that is friendly and most of all fun!
