PrYme Mover Takes Out National Volunteer Award

Congratulations to Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre member Sue Rymer who was recently recognise with a National Volunteer Award last week. Sue is passionate member of the PrYme movers and volunteer around the centre and was rewarded with her work as a volunteer in the electorate of Sydney. She was nominated in the Long-term Commitment to Community Service category, but her work with the Ultimo Community Garden was considered particularly impressive and hence it was thought an Environment Award would be appropriate. We were over the moon when Sue informed us she would be presented with a national volunteer award, as we know just how special she is!

A small group of our PrYmates at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre put together the nomination form recently and were so happy to see Sue receive this award at this time in her life. Sue has had to focus on her health more recently, and typical Sue, she is keen to point out that others have worked even more tirelessly for the community lately. We would like to pass on our congratulations and thank Sue not only for being an inspiration, but also for her tireless efforts and continued contributions to the community.
