About National Centre of Indigenous Excellence
The National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) is cultivating talent and creating opportunities to develop brighter futures for young Indigenous people. Backed by the support of the Indigenous Lands Corporation and proudly managed by the YMCA, the NCIE is helping young Indigenous people achieve their dreams and aspirations in the areas of sport, art, education and culture. EORA Sports, Arts & Recreation Centre: Indoor Sports Stadium, Fitness Centre, Activity Rooms, 25m Heated Pool, Sports Field, Computer Room, Childcare facilities.
EORA Campus: An Urban Camp facility with; Over 100 bed accommodation, 4-8 guests per room, Ensuite bathrooms, Large dining hall, Activity Rooms, Conference Room, Safe and secure precinct, Environmentally sustainable design
The EORA Campus will provide accommodation to both indigenous and non indigenous sporting teams, schools and tour groups from throughout Australia.
The NCIE will offer innovative and cutting edge programs including:
Sport: Deliver programs that promote healthy lifestyles and skills development through participation in sport and recreation
Arts: Encourage participation and development in artistic pursuits such as visual and performing arts
Education: Foster talent and improve educational outcomes, including learning the latest technology
Culture: Instil pride in the identification and promotion of Indigenous culture, including cultural visits in and around Sydney
