Your local YMCA is part of one of Australia's oldest and most respected not-for-profit organisations, with a history extending over 155 years. In everything that we do, we aim to build strong people, strong families and strong communities.
The Epping YMCA offers a wide range of youth, family and community services, along with gymnastics, childcare, vacation care, recreation and leisure opportunities.
Including a world class gymnastics arena and multi purpose program rooms, the Centre is a multi-purpose facility and our experienced, qualified staff conduct programs and services to cater for the diverse ages, interests and abilities of surrounding communities while building opportunities for individuals, families and community groups to connect, feel welcome and grow in body, mind and spirit.

Activities and Programs
Children's Services
YMCA of Sydney is an organisation committed to listening and actively responding to the community's needs. Our children's programs are designed to impart positive values and partnerships within the wider community. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where your children can develop social skills, learn through play and build personal assets that assist them in becoming positive, healthy young people who reach their full potential. - Robo Holiday Adventures
The YMCA is delighted to be selected by the IBM Global Work/Life to provide Science, Engineering and Technology Camps to the youth of Sydney. The program will utilise curricula developed by the prestigious Tufts University located in Boston, Massachusetts. The various curricula is comprised of multi-stage modules that encourage participants to utilise their creativity, knowledge and problem solving skills to develop models and create a working robot by the conclusion of the program. Students will have the opportunity to interact with specialists in the field and current undergraduates in order to further expand their skill and knowledge sets. As a part of the YMCA's charter to develop people in body, mind and spirit; physical activities have also been incorporated into the 3 day program. These activities may include; ball games, court sports, structured and unstructured play and excusions.
- Holiday Adventures: School Holiday Activities
FUN in the holidays! YMCA Holiday Adventures provides diverse and exciting school holiday activities for school-aged children at YMCA locations right across Sydney. Our Holiday Adventures: school holiday activities offer CCB supported, affordable fun for everyone! The YMCA is the world's largest provider of childcare services so you know you can trust the YMCA. Activities include theme days, exciting excursions, specialty clinics in sports and creative arts and MUCH more!
- Junior Leaders
The Junior Leaders Program is designed for young people between the ages of 13-16 that are interested in learning how to work with younger children in a recreational setting, in particular through the YMCA's Vacation Care program. The program offers opportunities to participate in workshops, develop leadership skills, increase self-confidence, provide community service, provide future employment opportunities, build new friendships, and enjoy a fun filled and rewarding school holiday experience.

- Youthlinx
YouthLinx is a prevention and early intervention program that supports young people aged 11-16 and their families to build self-reliance, strengthen family relationships and encourage community involvement. The service is funded by Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) and operates out of our Epping and Bankstown centres.
Epping YouthLinx offers programs for 11-16 year olds, targeting young people experiencing difficulties either at home or school. The programs aim to teach new skills, develop friendships & support networks, build self esteem, engage youth and promote positive behaviours. YouthLinx also offers families and young people information, advice, support and referral services.

Community Sports Competitions
Professionally run and SERIOUSLY FUN, our sports competitions focus on fun, fairness and participation. We use great facilities and referees and offer the latest in online draws, results and fixtures. Find out more about Community Sports Competitions.
- Basketball Basketball is a fun sport offered through many of our centres. In fact, the YMCA actually invented the sport. We offer a range of basketball activities that include competitions for all ages, coaching programs, and court hire.
- Futsal Indoor Soccer Indoor Soccer is a fun way to enjoy indoor team sport and develop fitness. It is also the ideal way to enhance your skills and fitness for the outdoor season.
Gymnastics

- Adult Gymnastics YMCA Adult Gymnastics is specifically for athletes 16 years and older. It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or an ex-gymnast, as long as you want to spend some time in the gym. In this all-around class designed for men and women you will enjoy all apparatus. YMCA Adult Gymnastics also provides stretching and conditioning time so you can get stronger and more flexible.
- Artistic Gymnastics The YMCA is a recognised leader in the delivery of gymnastics programs for all ages and abilities. Gymnastics is the ideal way for children to develop strength, coordination and flexibility, motor skills, confidence and self esteem. YMCA of Sydney's gymnastics clubs offer varying levels of the Artistic Gym program.
- Trampolining Jump into fun and fitness at your local YMCA. Our experienced instructors will teach children all the basic skills of this latest Olympic sport.
- Kindergym
YMCA Kindergym is a physical and social development program for children aged 18mths - 5 yrs, based on gymnastics skills and apparatus. Kindergym kids learn to be stronger in body (motor skills, strength and coordination), mind (creativity, cognitive development and problem solving) and spirit (social development and confidence).
With our unique "themed" program, children experience a new adventure every fortnight like circus, superheroes, the Olympics, jungle safari and more.
- Teen Gymnastics
YMCA Teen Gymnastics is specifically for teens aged 13 - 17 years. It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or an ex or current gymnast, as long as you want to spend time in the gym. The class is designed for both boys and girls, and promotes strength and coordination, working on gymnastic skills, healthy eating and nutrition and enjoying a fun fitness option.

- Badminton Badminton is a great sport and a fun social activity. We offer competitions and court hire. A great way to keep fit and have fun!
- Birthday Parties Organised, weather proof and active birthday fun at your local YMCA. We offer a great range of birthday party options run by our friendly and enthusiastic staff and utilising our fantastic facilities.
- Karate Karate at the YMCA is an exciting way for children and adults alike to develop self-discipline and build a healthy mind and body in a fun and safe environment. All classes are conducted by qualified and experienced instructors.
- Seniors Table Tennis The YMCA offers a range of exciting programs for seniors - table tennis is just one. Come and join in the fun of this great activity.
- Sports Clubs
YMCA Sports Clubs offer a friendly, community environment with a focus on fun, participation and skill development. Our sports clubs are an ideal way for people, families and communities to connect.
- The Epping YMCA Soccer Club involves over 500 members. The club has teams in all age divisions including Premier League. In recent years the club has been a leader in the development of ladies' soccer and currently boasts 8 teams.
- Epping Outdoor Soccer
- The Epping YMCA Junior Cricket Club is the largest in the Northern Districts Junior Cricket Association - fielding 18 teams and over 250 members, over double the number of teams than 5 years ago. The club also has a growing Kanga Cricket program for children under 9 years. Teams train at the Epping West Oval and play throughout the Northern Districts. The Clubs' philosophy is to give all players, regardless of their ability, the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the sport in the company of friends and with the active support of their families.

- Table Tennis Table tennis is a fun sport for all ages and abilities. An enjoyable and social activity with coaching and instruction from our internationally accredited instructors.

The YMCA offers a full range of Tennis programs for people of all ages and abilities including:
- Toddler Tennis for 3 - 5 year olds
- Children's Group Coaching for 5 years +
- Private Lessons
Tuition is offered for children in either beginner, intermediate or private lessons during school term and holiday clinics. All aspects of tennis are covered from stroke development to matchplay with an emphasis on having fun. Coaches provide analysis of all pupils, practice on the ball machine along with a game day and reports on final day.
- Dance YMCA offers a great dance program, with various types, including Jazz, Modern and Tap. Come along and join in the fun.
- Young at Heart Fun activities for mature adults. Social games such as Scrabble, Chess, Cards, Backgammon, Indoor Bowls and more! A great way to make new friends.
School PE
The PDHPE syllabus reflects core YMCA values of developing body, mind and spirit. Youth Leadership
The YMCA has a proud history in developing young leaders. In addition to the provision of specific programs such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, youth leadership is a key 'community strengthening promise' that runs through all of the programs that we provide. Find out more about Youth Leadership.
- Future Leaders
YMCA Future Leaders is an annual personal and professional development program for young YMCA staff aged 18-25. The program delivers personal development and leadership sessions whilst focusing on providing a broader understanding of the YMCA, developing skills directly applicable to their work environments and inspiring them to become a positive influence within their centre. The YMCA is committed to the training and development of it’s staff and Future Leaders is just one example of this commitment.
- Marland Cup
Marland Cup is the YMCA’s annual state-wide youth camp that began in 1990 to provide young people with the opportunity to participate in ‘clean, healthy fun’. Forming teams of 6-8, young people compete in various challenges over the course of the weekend. Teams are awarded points for their achievement and at the end of the weekend, these points are tallied. The team with the highest amount of points take home the Marland Cup Trophy. The camp is open to any young person aged 12-17.

Yoga is the ideal way to stretch, relax and unwind while improving your general health and well being.
Try our NEW Hatha Yoga class. This 2 hour class involves both Hatha Yoga and a meditation component to help you gain strength, flexibility and muscle tone.
- GroupFit Circuit Training A great NEW fitness circuit to music including hand weights, fit ball, step, skipping and more. This is a FUN fitness alternative.
