YMCA Sydney

We build strong people, strong families, strong communities

Creating places for people to connect and belong Making healthy lifestyles accessible to all people Providing rewarding volunteering opportunities Giving families the opportunity to be together Reconnecting children separated in Foster care Developing young people into young leaders

The YMCA is one of Australia's oldest and most respected not for profit organisations with a history extending over 155 years. A community based organisation, the YMCA works with government, non-profit groups and partners to provide programs and services to more than 500,000 Australian every week.

Today more than ever our people, families and communities need the YMCA. We are one of few not for profit organisations delivering proactive programs to tackle today's 'social diseases' associated with sedentary lifestyles, mental health and disconnectedness.

In everything that we do we aim to build strong people, strong families and strong communities; we achieve this through 5 key Community Strengthening Promises: Membership & Fee Assistance, Youth Leadership, Volunteer Involvement, Family Programming, Connection & Belonging.
