Lifeguard

Location: Hawkesbury Oasis

The YMCA of Sydney is one of Sydney’s most recognisable community organisations.  We aim to build strong people, strong families and strong communities through our programs including health and fitness, aquatics, sports competitions, children’s services, outdoor education and much more.

We currently have exciting opportunities at Hawkesbury Oasis Leisure Centre in South Windsor for Lifeguards and Pool Supervisors. Hawkesbury Oasis is an all year round Aquatic and Fitness Centre with a seasonal outdoor 50m pool and a wide range of aquatic and fitness activities. We are currently recruiting lifeguards with a goal of developing pool supervisors for the 2010/11 summer season. The potential for work all year round is a strong possibility at this centre.

Out of School Hours Care Worker

Location: Penrith City YMCA

Penrith City YMCA runs a variety of programs including Gymnastics, School PE, Health and Fitness facility and Before and After School Care in a variety of western locations, and we are looking for an Out of School Hours Care worker to join the team. If you have a passion for the Childcare industry and are looking for a challenge this position could be for you!

You are required to have or be willing to attain on commencement of employment a Light Right License and is desirable to have a First Aid Certificate and experience in the OSHC environment. This position is casual with the possibility to become part time. Centre Team Leader

Location: The Entrance Ocean Baths

In partnership with the Wyong Shire Council, the YMCA through The Entrance Ocean Baths will provide the very best in aquatic, health and recreation programs while building opportunities for individuals, families and community groups to connect, feel welcome and grow in body, mind and spirit.

The facility offers a range of aquatic, health and recreation programs and services to cater for the diverse ages, interests and abilities of its surrounding communities.

The Entrance Baths is looking for a seasonal Centre Team Leader to join for the 2010-2011 season (October to April). You will need to possess current Lifeguard certificate and have experience in management of staff and emergency events and is desirable if you have the ability to promote the centre, its activities.
